For Schools
A two-hour, hands-on field trip that brings the science textbook to life.
What your students experience
Guided exhibit tour
Our educators lead students through exhibits across physics, optics, sound, magnetism, mathematics, and more, many of them hands-on.
Live demonstrations
Short, surprising demonstrations that turn a textbook principle into something students see happen in front of them.
Hands-on activities
Students don’t just watch. They experiment, test ideas, and figure things out in small groups.
The science garden
A living collection of plants for exploring adaptation, classification, and the plants behind the food and spices we use every day.
Made to fit your lessons
Visits are curriculum-aligned. When you book, tell us your students’ grades and the topics you’re teaching, and we’ll shape the visit around them. Students go back to class having seen for themselves what the textbook describes.
Planning your visit
- 1
Visit us first, free
Teachers are welcome to come beforehand, free of charge, to see the exhibits and plan their students’ visit.
- 2
Send a booking request
Choose a date and time, and tell us how many students are coming from each grade. We recommend booking well in advance.
- 3
We call to confirm
We’ll call you to go over the details and send a QR code or bank details for payment. Your visit is confirmed once payment is received.
A visit takes about 2 hours; please set aside 3 hours in total. The ideal group size is 20 students, and larger groups are split into sessions. More answers in our FAQ.
Book a School VisitWhat educators say
It was wonderful to see our students apply what they have learned in the classroom at Science Playground, Bhaktapur. They were not just observing the physics and engineering projects — they were connecting concepts, testing ideas, asking questions, and seeing how the science they study works in real life.

As a school principal, I firmly believe that even a single visit can inspire teachers to plan months of meaningful classroom learning through real-life examples, practical activities, observation, and research.

By bringing science beyond textbooks and into the world of practical learning, experimentation, observation, and exploration, this initiative will play a significant role in nurturing scientific curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and innovation among students.
