Plant Cell Model
← All Exhibits
A plant cell has most of the same parts as an animal cell, plus three extras: a stiff cell wall, green chloroplasts that make food from sunlight, and a large vacuole that stores water and keeps the cell firm.
The cell wall is why plant cells tend to be boxy, and why a plant can stand up without bones.
Compare it with the animal cell model. What does the plant cell have that the animal cell doesn’t?
