The Compass Rose
← All Exhibits Book a Visit
This compass rose marks the four cardinal directions — north, south, east and west — and the four intermediate directions between them. For centuries, compass roses have helped people describe direction and navigate maps, land and sea.
As you enter the Science Playground, use it to orient yourself and notice which way you are facing.
