All Eyes on Me
← All Exhibits
These are plane mirrors, but they are mounted on a curved surface. When you stand at the marked viewing point, each mirror is tilted just right to reflect your eye back to you.
That is why you see many little images of yourself at once.
The effect works because of the law of reflection: the angle at which light arrives at a mirror equals the angle at which it leaves.
Stand at the marked spot and look at the mirrors. Can you see your eye in all of them at once?
