New Exhibit: The Fun Circuit

A drawing of a lamp that really lights up shows how electricity flows around a circuit.

The lamp in our newest exhibit is only a drawing, but it really lights up, because it is part of a real circuit.

Electricity flows only around a closed loop: from the power source, through the light, and back again. Break the loop anywhere and the light goes out. A switch simply opens and closes that loop.

When you visit, unfold it to trace the path the electricity takes, from where it comes in to where it goes back out.
