The Air Cannon

Hit the back of this drum and it fires a doughnut-shaped ring of spinning air, called a vortex ring, across the room.

The ring holds together as it travels, so it can ripple the sequin wall several meters away. You can’t see the ring, but you can see what it does when it arrives.
