The Bamboo Horse
← All Exhibits
This is an artistic representation of a bamboo rhizome — the underground stem from which bamboo roots and shoots grow. Hidden beneath the soil, roots and rhizomes can form intricate, beautiful patterns that we rarely get to see.
Elsewhere in the Science Playground, you can find a related artwork inspired by the branching, fractal-like form of tree roots.
