New Exhibit: The Paludarium
A tiny rainforest riverbank, with water below and land above, is our newest exhibit.
Our newest exhibit is a paludarium: part aquarium, part terrarium, with water below and land above, like a tiny rainforest riverbank.
Mosses, ferns, and bromeliads grow on the rocks and wood, fed by moisture rising from the water. Plants, water, and small creatures together make a little ecosystem you can watch up close.
On your next visit, ask us to turn on the mist: the paludarium looks even more fun when a cloud drifts over its tiny riverbank.
