Who is the giant in the rainbow ring?
Your own shadow, on fog below a mountain, with the Sun behind you.
Why? The shadow falls on fog at many depths at once, so your brain can’t tell how far away it is and makes it look huge. The colored ring, a glory, is light bent by the tiny drops.
