Color Vision Test

← All Exhibits

Most people see a number hidden in each circle of dots, but some people see a different number, or none at all.

This is the Ishihara test for color vision. About 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women have trouble telling some reds and greens apart, because of differences in the color-sensing cells in their eyes.

Write down the number you see in each circle, then compare with a friend.
