Pythagoras in the Garden
← All Exhibits
Three squares are built on the three sides of a right-angled triangle. The Pythagorean theorem tells us that the area of the square on the longest side, the hypotenuse, is exactly equal to the combined areas of the other two squares.
This sculpture turns one of geometry’s most famous relationships into a three-dimensional artwork.
