Thread Tunnel

Layer upon layer of coloured thread creates the illusion of a glowing tunnel or vortex receding into the surface. Nothing here actually curves inward — the sense of depth comes from changing line density, overlap and colour. Our visual system turns a flat arrangement of threads into something that seems almost three-dimensional.
